I will never return or recommend to anyone. The owner Joni (or manager) was very rude and unaccommodating. I had to check out early due to hurricane Irma and evacuate my 89 year old mother from south Florida. Joni only gave me $40 back out of $240. So it cost me $100 per night for 2 nights. She was also rude to a customer who complained about red ants crawling up the water hose into his camper. The ants were very heavy around my campsite as well. She also questioned why we walked to the campground bathroom instead of using our camper bathroom. Why should she be concerned?
Great park. Clean as can be. Front office is knowledgeable on the local area. She guided me to my camp site. She was polite and professional. Probably the best check-in I've ever done. The sites are not crowded together like most campgrounds near Cherokee. Wifi and cable TV were good. 50 amp. The drive in is not an issue. Shade trees everywhere. Highly recommended.
Such a fun, clean campground! Very close to downtown Cherokee and Great Smoky Mountain National Park so there is plenty to do. We stayed in a covered tent site. There was plenty of room and the cover would have been great if it had rained. The bathrooms were very clean and everything seemed very well kept. My kids had a blast playing on the playground and in the pool with all of the other kids staying at the campground. The owner, Joni was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. All in all, a great place to stay!
Our family LOVES this place! We have been coming here for 7 years and have never had a bad experience....except for some loud, vulgar campers next to us but the owner took care of it very quickly. Anyone who has something negative to say has definitely not followed the owner's rules for maintaining a clean, quiet, and safe campground. The owner, Joni, is AMAZING but she does not tolerate stupidity.....thank goodness!!!
Staff to up tight. Managers are rude to customers and their guest. They don't allow guests of the campers to visit or they charge high prices for each visitor to a camp site.
